SOFIA ENRIQUEZ

As an art curator with a design background, Sofia has focused her practice on the exploration of sensory dynamics. Following the completion of her master's degree in curatorial studies in Spain, she moved to Mexico City, where she engaged in a diversity of formats, including writing and research for a private collection, curating and designing exhibitions for institutional and independent spaces, and directly collaborating with artists to develop their projects.

After a few years of practical exploration she won two times the National Fund for Cultural Development and the Arts of Chile (FONDART) to develop her research in a sensory approach to the curatorial practice in Sao Paulo and Lisbon.

Her experience turns out to be a rich mixture of practical and theoretical work, integrating design, curatorial practice, and sensory exploration, within an emplacement of different geographies and cultures.

In addition to her work with Mother Leopard, Sofia collaborates as a writer for the magazine Bloque (MX) and is a member of the Research Directory at the Center of Sensory Studies.
